Right to Information (RTI)

In accordance with the Right to Information Act, 2005, NIOS provides information regarding its functioning, administration, and finances to the citizens of India.

Public Information Officer (PIO):
Officer designated to handle RTI queries at the NIOS Headquarters.

Appellate Authority:
The Chairperson, NIOS, acts as the Appellate Authority.

Citizens can file RTI applications online through the Central Government's RTI portal or by sending a physical application to the NIOS HQ.
